Goal

1. reduce the number of calls to customer service by having the website — especially on mobile — be much easier to use.
2. when customers do call, shorten call times and make it easier to help people by implementing tools our customer service team can use to guide people to a quick and easy transaction.

Solution

Nobody knows the model they have

something similar to the Pet Selector App on the current site to help narrow search results. Questions that will help narrow down search:

• Where — door, patio, wall, window
• Logo shape: round or square
• Frame: plastic or aluminum
• Width of flap

Too many choices

• exploded-view parts selector
• send pre-created carts to customers via text or email with their specific parts

User interface problems

• Too much scrolling
• Too many words
• Buttons/links not prominent (“people can’t see stuff to click”)
• We need photos for every product
• Search filtering on left side of desktop page not relevant
